Limited secure parking is available at De Waterkant Village at only R75 per day with a remote deposit of R300. Parking can also be arranged at Cape Quarter, across the way from The Charles. Both these parking areas are centrally located and within walking distance to the restaurants, activities and attractions |

The Charles Coffee Shop located
at The Charles Luxury Guest House, boasts a unique menu of traditional
Cape Malay cuisine as well as deli favourites. Buffet breakfasts are included for all guests staying at De
Waterkant House and The Charles.
Hot breakfasts range from ‘Salmon and Cream Cheese Croissants’ to
‘Eggs Benedict,’ so be sure to make time to enjoy your mornings. Enjoy lunch from the Cape Malay culture, such as mutton curry,
bobotie or samoosa’s dipped in sweet chilli sauce. The Charles Coffee Shop is open
for breakfast from 07h00 to 12h00 and for lunch between 12h00
and 16h00. |

The Cape Travel information centre at 1 Loader Street is equipped with two computer stations where guests can make use of internet facilities. There is complimentary wireless internet access at The Charles Guest House and De Waterkant House.

Function facilities
The Charles can host 30 people max for social functions, like
parties etc. For this they will provide catering (set menu)
and it is held on the terrace, and is therefore weather permitting.
The Charles also hosts a weekly braai or barbeque on the
terrace. Open to locals, guests and tourists, it is very
popular and a wonderful way to connect with others in the
village. |
